In Australia, the days are getting colder as winter approaches. With the colder weather comes coughs and snotty noses which due to our childrens hygeine or lack thereof, inevitably spreads throughout our entire household.
While we all know there is no cure for the common cold, we just have to ride it out. We can relieve certain symptoms with some natural remedies.
When it comes to the flu however people seem to go into a panic. I don't want to disregard the seriousness of some nasty flus we have experienced such as bird and swine flu. I do, however want to warn people of the potential dangers of racing out and getting the flu vaccine.
As with every vaccination, there are dangers. There is the ongoing for and against debate. Evidence and testimonials about the link between vaccines and autism, allergies and a whole gamut of other ailments. This blog, however is not about vaccination. it is about raising a child with multiple food allergies. For that reason I will maintain my focus on the topic.

There are plenty of ways to increase your childs immunity like Vitamin c, zinc etc without subjecting them to the dangers of the flu vaccines.
